Lithium Ark’s Process for Battery Recycling

After their useful life, lithium-ion batteries from EV’s are crushed and shredded into a material called “black mass”. Black mass is valuable because it contains a mixture of critical metals, including lithium, manganese, cobalt and nickel.

The Lithium Ark process can be applied in the leaching of black mass resulting in higher recovery of metals. Our process generates no additional waste materials, such as sodium sulfate (Na2SO4). Further, our process is 100% circular by recovering potassium chloride and generating potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid, by-products offering positive market value. This significantly reduces environmental impact and energy consumption.

Ask us how we can leverage our process to greenify battery recycling and avoid waste streams.
