The lithium Ark process is able to produce lithium hydroxide as well as lithium carbonate directly from lithium chloride solution. The process flowsheet is 100% adaptable to the market requirements.

Many projects have to take a decision to produce one of the two products, with a big uncertainty if the battery market swift to LFP or NMC type cathodes. Lithium Ark says, do not worry, as the process is completely flexible.

The process simply adds CO2 to transform Lithium hydroxide solution to produce Lithium Carbonate as can be observed in the block flow diagram below.
